　　事情发生在Anna（Nicole Kidman饰）与未婚夫准备婚礼的时候，一个年仅十岁的小男孩（Cameron Bright饰）出现在面前，还自称是Shawn。Anna目瞪口呆。十年前，Anna的未婚夫Shawn意外身亡，用了十年时间平复创伤的Anna刚重新开始新的生活就面临如此怪异的事情。一开始谁也没把小男孩的话语当真，但是小男孩能清晰地说出他们过去的每一个点滴，Anna渐渐软化，开始相信，上天把她的爱人归还给她。
　　Anna的好朋友却不相信。追随着小男孩的脚步，她知道是当年自己亲手埋下的因导致了今天发生的一切。
