　　年轻的印度男子托马斯是一个书呆子，他戴着超大眼镜，很喜欢跟大家的故事，但是这故事是没有人想听到的。他的父母在1976年的大火中丧生，并托马斯·阿诺德照顾。阿诺德很快就离开了他的家人（包括他严肃的儿子维克多），10年过去维克多还没有见过他的父亲。当维克多听到阿诺德已经去世，托马斯提供他资金让他去取回阿诺德的遗体，但阿诺德强调只有当托马斯和他一起去，他才回去。最后托马斯和维克多上路……
