　　小青蛙克劳克和好朋友阿密特、高古斯生活在沼泽里，过着无忧无虑的生活。但克劳克一直向往外面的世界，他希望有一天可以离开沼泽到大千世界去看看。

　　一天三个好朋友遇到了蛤蟆布拉齐，他一直都瞧不起青蛙，总是找青蛙们的麻烦。这天他和胆小的高古斯扭打在一起，不知不觉来到了公路上，被宠物店老板看到，抓到了汽车上。克劳克和阿密特决定追踪汽车搭救朋友，但一转眼汽车就已经开得无影无踪，要如何才能救出朋友呢？

　　幸好遇到了被人遗弃的小狗，凭借它灵敏的嗅觉大家一路追踪到了宠物店。此时的高古斯和布拉齐在患难中已经成为了朋友，原本他们打算一起逃离宠物店，但听到别的动物向他们诉说做宠物的好处后，决定留下来尝试着做宠物青蛙。然而事情并不如他们想象的那么如意，克拉斯曼教授从宠物店买进了一批青蛙，作为生物课解剖对象，这其中就包括高古斯和布拉齐。

　　克劳克和阿密特来到学校，终于在实验室里找到了青蛙们。在克拉斯曼教授拿起手术刀的一刹那，青蛙们开口说话了！这不仅让学生们备感惊奇，更让克拉斯曼教授欣喜若狂。原来在克拉斯曼教授很小的时候，他就曾发现青蛙会说话，但却遭到周围人的嘲笑，为此他痛恨青蛙，并且希望借解剖青蛙证实自己的发现。如今他再次遇到了说话的青蛙，兴奋之余决定放掉青蛙们，让他们回到大自然。

　　青蛙们回到了沼泽，这次奇异之旅更让克劳克对外面的世界充满好奇，于是他离开家乡踏上了旅途……
