　　无所事事的失业男子朱利安，被迫执导「哈姆雷特」衍生舞台剧「吸血哈姆雷特」，并藉机找来旧情人安娜担任女主角，企图重修旧好，只是万万没想到安娜早已勾搭上了有黑手党撑腰的商人巴比。然而，朱利安衰事才正要开始，因为「吸血哈姆雷特」的编剧兼演员西奥，竟然真的是来自罗马尼亚的吸血鬼！根据汤姆史托普同名剧作发展而来的《吸血哈姆雷特》，以「剧中剧中剧」型式重新解读莎士比亚作品，黑色幽默、慧詰对白加上妙趣横生的荒诞情节，风靡北美大小独立影展、一票难求。

　　一个无邪的女孩独自在昏暗的舞台上跳著芭蕾，诡譎的音效似乎渐渐把女孩带入未知的悲剧中，这是电影《吸血哈姆雷特》的开场。「What if Shakespeare, the Holy Grail and vampires were connected?」全片由上述的寓意贯穿，故事情节詼谐幽默，利用剧中剧的手法改编了英国著名剧作家莎士比亚的四大悲剧作品之一──《哈姆雷特》（Hamlet又称王子复仇记）。《哈姆雷特》被引用和改编的次数不计其数，《吸血哈姆雷特》导演Jordan Galland再次大胆改编莎翁悲剧名著，带领观眾游走在自己所营造的黑色喜剧中。
